Questions?
I use mainly PHP, JavaScript, XHTML and SQL. I don't like reinventing the wheel and therefore I love using frameworks. As a JavaScript framework I usually use jQuery or MooTools, and for a php framework I'm using CodeIgniter. I never use WYSIWYG editors since I need more control over the results, but I don't use notepad either... I tend to use editors that give me some basic functionality (e.g., code folding, syntax highlighting).
Yes. I consider AJAX to be a "way of doing things" and not a language per se. It's a technology combining XML & JavaScript and server side programming, giving the user a desktop feel while using web applications.
First you need to contact me and tell me a few things: What kind of project? do you have a deadline? do you have an already made requirements / design document? At what point in the project you want me to get involved? I can help you gather the needs, or I can just build the application. What is your preferred way of communication? I can work and give you a finalized product, or I can work with your team. It's all a matter of your needs and budget.
Working with a freelancer always raises this type of question. All I can say is that I love my work and this is my way to provide for myself and my family. I've been working as a freelancer since 1999 and I have no plans to stop in the near or far future. I do however have plans to slowly expand my business.
Usually no. I focus mainly on applications, creating the user interface and server side. I love creating applications and that's what I do best. I do not consider myself to be a designer and if a project requires one I usually work with a freelance designer or the clients design team. Having said that, you can always contact me to ask about your project.
